Two weeks ago, I was invited to Ikenne Remo, Ogun State, Hometown of Chief Obafemi Awolowo by his Family to deliver a Presentation on THE YOUTH AND NIGERIA’S LEADERSHIP QUESTION: THE AWO EXAMPLE as part of thw activities lined up for the celebration of his Birthday, 31years after his death.

When Chief Awolowo said,
“Violence never settles anything right: apart from injuring your own soul, it injures the best cause. It lingers on long after the object of hate has disappeared from the scene to plague the lives of those who have employed it against their foes”, I bet he didn’t know that many years later, Nigeria would become a staple country for Terrorism, Economic Crisis and Multiple Inequalities in Africa.

For me, the knowledge of the foundations of my history and heritage and the roles and sacrifices of my Forefathers often compel me to reflect deeply about the many chances Nigeria has lost and how our Generation can set this Nation on the path of progress and prosperity.

For Nigeria, I will do my part. Will You?

Thanks to Obafemi Awolowo Foundation.
