How do you share Nigeria’s History without including the irreplaceable enigma called FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI? My Friends had heard so much of him and his awe-inspiring Music and Style so I took them to the African Shrine at Ikeja to meet and chat with his Family and learn about the life and times of the Legend.
His Son, Uncle FEMI KUTI then did a few hot Afrobeat numbers that saw all of my Harvard Kennedy School and MIT Folks drop it low on the Dance Floor with Fela’s Daughter, Aunty YENI KUTI teaching some a few dance steps. Twas a really fun Night after many formal meetings. I can’t wait to tell you about our visits to Eko Atlantic City, our meeting with the CEO of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, our Interactive Sessions with Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode etc
