Over 3.4 million people have been displaced, including over 2.7 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in north-eastern Nigeria, over 684,000 IDPs in Cameroon, Chad and Niger and 294,000 refugees in the four countries, according to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees @unhcr_nigeria
:
As part of the 3rd Phase of the #VSFCOVID19Interventions, we have now officially handed over N36Million worth of Rice, Beans, Vegetable Oil, Salt, Maize, Hand Sanitizers in 250mls, PPEs like Face Masks, Hygiene Kits and Blankets for Children to the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants & Internally Displaced Persons @ncfrmi_sw in Abuja for distribution to Refugees and IDPs across Nigeria.
:
Don’t worry, we will not just keep showing you photos and videos of our Handing over of all these Items to States and Agencies, we will start showing you Photos/Videos of the Distribution to “actual human beings”/citizens in the coming days.
:
We understand the huge trust deficit Nigerians rightfully have given the way projects like this have been managed through the Years in our Country but we’re sure you can see that the #VSFCOVID19Interventions have been implemented differently since April 2020.
Transparency and Accountability will NEVER be compromised under our Watch.
Take my Word for it.
:
Our Data Collection, M & E Team are on hand to monitor, track and report distribution along with all our Partners Nationwide.
:
As you know, we can’t work with everyone so we’ve selected few relevant Government Agencies, NGOs, Community Based Groups across the Country to work with us on Distribution using a rigorous verification exercise & we’ll ensure that they stick with their mandates based on the signed MOUs our Programs Team have put in place with them.
:
Thank you for staying with us.
TAO.
