Our Airforce Pilots died in that 21st February, 2021 Airforce Beechcraft B350I Plane Crash. I had wept uncontrollably when I heard that Haruna Gadzama & Henry Piyo were on that Flight. They still flew us to Katsina and Niger in Dec 2020.
:
This time last week was a rollercoaster of emotions. You perhaps remember that during the National Lockdown in 2020 when the Country was grinded to a halt, we depended on the Airforce Planes to airlift us to various parts of the Country to deliver Palliatives and Medical Supplies to various communities since there were no Commercial Flights.
:
After completing our Projects’ Implementation across 30 states of Nigeria between April 2020 and May 2021, we had some savings from our Budget as approved by our VSF Chairman, General TY Danjuma, Rtd.
:
We decided to use these funds saved to support the Wives, Children, Parents and Relatives of each of the 7 Officers who passed on in that Plane Crash with N1Million each.
:
N1m will never replace their lost loved ones but this is a mark of Love, Sympathy and Solidarity to these Families. The Next-of-Kins as provided to us in a Formal Letter from NAF received the Funds in their Bank Accounts within 48hrs.
:
In my brief remarks, I called the names of all the 7 deceased Officers one after the other in full. They live, they have Names and that Recognition matters.
:
I was terribly shocked and saddened to hear of another Airforce Crash last week Friday and I sincerely commiserate with the Nigerian Armed Forces and Nigerians on the passing of the Chief of Army Staff and other Military Personnel last week Friday.
:
These Great Officers did not die in Vain. We love them, we honour them and we remember them.
May their Memories be blessed, forever.🙏🙏
