On Thursday, August 23 2012, Nokia in partnership with Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and MTN Nigeria formally introduced a new Nokia Life Service, “Business Women“; a service specially designed to provide business women in Nigeria relevant business and entrepreneurship tips via SMS to their mobile phones with the Nokia Life service.

It was a gathering of women (and men) from different works of life with Cherie Blair, wife of former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair and Founder of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, as the keynote speaker. Mrs Blair noted that the service tool will give women the opportunity to be financially independent and make the most use of their talents so as to increase the standard of living for themselves and their families.

The event was anchored by veteran broadcaster, Funmi Iyanda with CEO, Impression Management Consulting, Olusola Lanre and Youth Advocate and CEO, Rise Networks, Toyosi Akerele as guest speakers.
